Yellow Rose Watercolour

Over the Christmas holidays I was busy working on a commissioned watercolour.  The customer asked for me to create a yellow rose watercolour similar to the red rose that I painted in the summer.    The original watercolour has been delivered to the customer and she was very happy with it!!  Here is the finished product.

It will be available as a 8X10 print and will be produced as both a small or large card.  Look for it soon at the Grimsby Public Library Art Gallery or at Beans of a Tree or at Fork’s Road Pottery.

Happy New Year from Butterfly Brushes – Year 2013 in review

Year 2013 was an exciting year for Butterfly Brushes, in addition to having over 1,000 new visitors to my website, I added four (4) new paintings to my collection with one being the Grimsby Heritage Art award winner.  Butterfly Brushes made donations to charities such as WWF – Canada and Unicef.

Butterfly Brushes cards can be purchased at Beans of a Tree and Fork’s Road Pottery in addition to the Grimsby Art Gallery.  Looking ahead to 2014, I will be starting off the year by working on a commissioned watercolour of a yellow rose and I will be entering the 10th annual Grimsby Heritage art contest in February.  I will keep you posted throughout the year on my new artwork as well as upcoming events.  Enjoy reading the 2013 in review and thanks for your support!

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,500 times in 2013. If it were a cable car, it would take about 25 trips to carry that many people.
